It was the last I
ever saw of her. The black and white dress and a striped hat, with just the
right brown curls of hair to go with them, but the grey nail polish and the
droopy necklace was absolutely tasteless fashion although the rest of her
looked like a picture to me.
She
headed down to the beach, her dark locks flying out behind her. Sticking her
toe in the seashore, she screamed with delight and waded in deep until the
water was up till her neck, still fully clothed. Then a strong current of wave
swept her away and all I could remember was her crying out to me her mouth “O”
shaped, bewildered and frightened.
I didn’t help her unfortunately and till
this date I haven’t seen anybody so similar as her. She might never come back
yet I wait in the hope of seeing her again.
