A Visit To 6S - A Dream (Ghostly)

Like every other class to me at DBS, the lessons rambled onwards until time stopped with a squeal of breaks and I realised that I was at a literacy lesson where we were challenged to write down ten of the hardest words we knew in quite a short period of time. Alas, my obnoxious little brain appeared to be the least bothered unlike my highly spirited classmates.

I rose from my chair and watched over the rest of my class like a heavenly eagle, desperate for an astounding word as I gazed at the wide expanse of my class room, identifying every person tuck into their sheet as if it were pudding. Then a sudden thought struck me like lightening. Why couldn't I write the word 'lest' down? After all, the great poet William Shakespeare had used the word in most of his poems and plays.

I quickly jotted the word down and I peered at Anusha's work. Help! She's written 'lest' as well! Ms.Khan would now take me as a sly copy-cat. What was I going to do? Sadly, I was the last one to return my completed worksheet. Ms.Khan then exited the classroom and when she returned, she suddenly blurred and turned into Mrs.Cox!

I found myself cutting out a large heart out of red paper to contribute to the class project. Mrs.Lewis then appeared out of the blue and snapped at me like a piranha.

"What a terrible, unbeautiful heart!" cried she. "I never saw anything so unattractive."

Mrs.Cox then came into view and good golly she HOLLERED at Mrs.Lewis!

"And how come you take the right to talk to Divina like that?" questioned Mrs.Cox angrily. Then turning to me she instructed "I would like you to keep your unfinished heart in your locker."

Of course, I ran out as quick as lightening, averting my eyes from the simmering Mrs.Lewis. Unfortunately though, on my way out, I bumped straight into Mrs.Roberts! She winced, and her eyes looked painfully at me before she sank down into a nearby chair. Horror overcame me as I realised that I had somehow sawed my shoe into her surprisingly bare feet; she was DEAD.

I howled with grief and Ruby appeared out of nowhere and put a comforting arm over me, leading me to a quiet area. When I next blinked my wet eyes open, Ruby was still comforting me, but she wore a worried expression on her face. When I looked around we were in the corner of the new playground and a slight alteration caught my eye. A gate in the middle of the playground separated us from a lonesome teenager, who appeared to pace around, followed by two incredibly large German Shepard's. I could  have sworn they were transparent; I could see straight through them.

Ruby seemed to have a great affection for these dogs for she slipped through the gates to meet them. I trailed behind her, feeling reluctant. But the instant we stepped to the other side a sudden feeling took over me by surprise and I felt weightless. Alack, the teenager and the dogs took us for enemies and they cornered us growling loudly. The teenager stood behind them, grinning from ear to ear. They might have us tripped, but a thing like that wouldn't let me down. I shut my eyes tight convincing myself that this was all a dream.

After all anything could happen in a dream. "The German Shepard's love us," I whispered to myself. At that very moment they stopped growling angrily at us and nuzzled their wet noses over me and Ruby.

"The German Shepard's will eat up the horrible teenager.' It worked! The dogs pounced on the startled teen and ate him whole, indulging. I glanced at the dogs. There was something unusually queer about them. Then light dawned on me. They were transparent! Just as I had observed on the other side of the gate in the new playground. Looking at Ruby, I saw she was transparent too, so was either of my hands! I turned ashen as realization struck me. The two dogs, Ruby and I were GHOSTS! I now knew that the gate in the middle of the playground divided us humans from ghosts!

We should have never let ourselves in.
