Dear Vivian..

It was quite a pleasure to receive your charming pink pen, especially as I am fond of stationary. I consider that a lucky sign as much to my delight, I were gifted three elegant fountain pens on my stay in India. Though my memory of my younger days are limited, I do recollect you as a talented artist. Hence, I would like to present you a little something – an ‘Artist Palette’ which I hope you will enjoy using. I do wish that your expectations for a present weren't higher! What did you reckon that the parcel would be? (It was a striking odd shape)

Please accept my apologies for not sending this letter in time. I am quite afraid that I have delayed it as I have been held up in some work. I pray you are not disappointed! By the by, are you aware when we will receive the almighty scripts from Mrs. Garbutt, due for the advancing prefect assembly?

Could you please inform me whether you are participating in the F1 project, and when is it held?

If you are in doubt and forgotten to why this particular letter is printed out, I will satisfy your curiosity by providing the drab information – My hand was fractured.

Have you auditioned for ‘DBS got talent’? If so, what was your act, and did you get in? A good measure of people were terribly disappointed (some angry) that they weren't
singled out toward the finals. By the way, who succeeded and got in? And are you in this year for the residential trip? Did you enjoy transition days, were we experienced how secondary would be like? I couldn’t  help gulping with laughter during the art lesson at how my portrait of someone had turned out to be like – It had turned out horrible since it was drawn with my left hand; and nowhere close to the person I was drawing!

I am aware that in this letter I have questioned you to wits end, so I do not expect you to answer all my questions! Furthermore, I apologise if the rainbow and the flowers are messy - it was hard to accomplish in my non-dominant hand. I hope you don’t mind!

Your friend
Divina Dcunha
